From 14 to 17 April 2025, the OSCAR team held an OSCAR-5 user group meeting. We were kindly hosted by NRG in Petten, the Netherlands. Participants came from Necsa as well as NRG-PALLAS and TU-Delft in the Netherlands.
The aim of this user group meeting was to foster knowledge exchange between different OSCAR users and to discuss current and future developments as well as potential collaboration on both commercial and research projects. Participants had the opportunity to give a presentation on the current use of OSCAR-5 at their facilities. The OSCAR team presented current research and development projects and on the use of OSCAR-5 for calculational support to the SAFARI-1 research reactor at Necsa. The last part of the user group meeting was spent on discussing the mid-term and long-term needs of various clients and prioritizing future development requests. We were also treated to a tour of the HOR reactor at TU-Delft on the last day of the workshop.
